The set of results that went the wrong way

Jonty had a set of results that moved in the wrong direction and spent three weeks not telling anybody. Including this page because the site would be dishonest without it.

He did not tell his buddy, he did not tell his circle, and he came close to not telling his doctor, which he now describes as the stupidest three weeks of the whole two years.

The reason, as best he can reconstruct it, was that he had told a lot of people this was going well and did not want to hand anybody a stick. Nadia's response when he did tell her was to be entirely matter-of-fact about it and to ask what the follow-up appointment was, which is all she thinks she did.

It was followed up, another cause was found, it was treated, and the results moved back. It might not have been. Mira's line about this story, which she uses in bloodwork-buddies, is that a result that goes the wrong way is information, and information you sit on for three weeks is information nobody can act on.

I had told everybody it was going well. Three weeks of not telling anybody, because I did not want to hand people a stick.

I asked when the follow-up was. That was the entire contribution and he keeps insisting it mattered.
