Come back in a year

Short one tonight.

A1c down. I looked at the number for a long time and then rang my mother, which surprised us both.

First set of bloods that her GP described as unremarkable, which she had never heard about herself.

Bloods back. Unremarkable, she said, which is a word I had never once heard applied to me.

Everything stable. She said come back in a year. I have never had a come-back-in-a-year before.
