Not the same concentration

Quickly, before bed.

Switching, and the concentration is not the same. I nearly worked from the old arithmetic out of pure habit.

Moved from a compounded preparation to a pen. Nearly got the arithmetic wrong. A pharmacist caught it.

The pharmacist caught it. She asked one question, looked at both boxes, and stopped me. I have thought about that moment most weeks since.

Different device, different numbers, same medicine. Nothing about the old routine carried over and I had assumed all of it would.

Side effects came back like new after the switch, which nobody had told me could happen.
