Mind and meaning
Body image
Bodies are not projects. This is harder than it sounds.
Almost everyone arrives here having absorbed decades of the idea that a body is a problem to be solved. Changing that is slower and stranger than changing anything physical, and it does not happen automatically when something else does.
This circle is for that work: the mirror, the photographs, the compliments that land badly, the family member who means well, and the peculiar experience of being treated differently by strangers.
Who this circle is for
- Your relationship with your own reflection is difficult
- Compliments are landing badly and you cannot say why
- You want a room where nobody performs about bodies
Agreements here
- No body commentary about yourself or anyone else, including praise
- No photographs. This is a text circle by design
