The plateau
When nothing is changing and you are still here.
A plateau is the most common reason people arrive in this community and the least written about. Weeks pass, the change you were watching for stops, and the story you were telling yourself about all of this goes quiet.
This circle is not here to fix your plateau. It is here so that you have somewhere to be during one. Sometimes there is something practical to look at. Often the useful thing is company and a slightly longer view.
Who this circle is for
- Nothing has shifted for six weeks or longer
- You are frightened this is the end of the road
- You have come out the far side of a long plateau and can say what it was like
Agreements here
- No numbers as evidence of anything. We talk about weeks, not scores
- We do not diagnose each other's plateaus
